IT Manager

Baseyard is building a next-generation industrial ecosystem for defence and dual-use technologies in Portugal. As an advanced manufacturing and industrialisation hub, Baseyard supports customers throughout the product lifecycle, from engineering and prototyping to industrialisation, serial production, supply chain management, testing, and global delivery. We're looking for a hands-on, security-minded IT Manager to lead our IT operations, infrastructure and systems, ensuring a secure, reliable and scalable technology environment for our growing industrial operation. What you'll do - Manage IT infrastructure, systems, devices, networks and user access. - Oversee Microsoft 365, identity management, licences and IT assets. - Coordinate external IT, cloud, infrastructure and cybersecurity providers. - Ensure endpoint security, backups, disaster recovery and business continuity. - Manage IT support, onboarding, offboarding and access controls. - Support ERP, engineering and production systems implementation. - Maintain IT security procedures, documentation and compliance requirements. - Manage IT suppliers, budgets and infrastructure planning. What we're looking for - Degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or equivalent experience. - Hands-on experience managing IT infrastructure and end-user environments. - Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, networking, identity and access management. - Understanding of cybersecurity, firewalls, VPNs, encryption and endpoint protection. - Experience coordinating external IT providers. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. - Good English and Portuguese communication skills. Nice to have: Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Defender, AWS, ISO 27001, NIS2 or IT infrastructure in manufacturing environments.
