AI Platform Engineer – VMware Cloud Foundation & Kubernetes on GPU Infrastructure Location: Stockholm, Sweden (Hybrid – 2 days per week in office) Contract: 12+ months Ampstek is hiring for a large enterprise client that is building a private AI platform on VMware Cloud Foundation with NVIDIA GPUs, enabling internal teams to run AI and LLM workloads on Kubernetes in a governed, self-service way. What you will do • Deploy and configure VMware Cloud Foundation (ESXi, vSAN, NSX, SDDC Manager) on GPU-equipped hardware and validate cluster readiness, networking and GPU enablement • Deploy vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS 1.33+) for GPU workloads • Implement infrastructure as code so cluster creation and lifecycle operations are fully reproducible • Integrate the platform with Active Directory and SSO • Set up VCF Automation for governed self-service of Kubernetes namespaces, with RBAC and audit logging Must have • Hands-on deployment and configuration of VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x • Kubernetes on VMware (VKS or vSphere with Tanzu) in production • NVIDIA GPU enablement on vSphere (vGPU profiles or GPU passthrough, host drivers) • Infrastructure as code with Terraform or Ansible, managed in Git • Active security clearance • Fluent English, written and spoken Nice to have • VCF Automation / Aria Automation • NSX networking and security • AD / SSO integration for Kubernetes • VCP-VCF or CKA certification • Experience escalating cases to Broadcom/VMware or NVIDIA Please note: this role needs both VMware AND Kubernetes experience.
