Software Development Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Development Lead based in United States. This role offers the opportunity to lead secure software development supporting critical federal mission requirements in a highly structured technology environment. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams spanning software engineering, architecture, testing, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, deployment, and sustainment. The position combines technical leadership with Agile delivery management, secure SDLC practices, automation, and continuous improvement. You will translate mission and cybersecurity requirements into prioritized development backlogs and reliable software increments. A strong focus will be placed on integrating security, automated testing, configuration management, documentation, and compliance throughout the software lifecycle. You will help manage technical risks, delivery dependencies, vulnerabilities, and quality metrics while ensuring development standards are consistently applied. This is a fully remote opportunity for an experienced engineering leader interested in contributing to a federal cybersecurity and software modernization mission.
