Disability Claims & Underwriting Specialist

This role offers an opportunity to bring deep disability insurance expertise into the development of next-generation AI systems. You will design realistic claims and underwriting scenarios that reflect the complexity of real-world disability decisions. Your expertise will help evaluate AI-generated outputs against established professional standards and defensible reasoning. The work spans disability definitions, medical and vocational evidence, benefit entitlement, and risk selection. You will create high-quality reference materials, identify reasoning gaps, and provide structured feedback to improve model performance. The role is well suited to experienced claims, underwriting, vocational rehabilitation, and absence-management professionals who enjoy analytical work. You will collaborate with a research team through onboarding, calibration sessions, and ongoing expert evaluation.
