Applied Machine Learning Engineer Amsterdam, Netherlands — Hybrid Our client, a growing Product SaaS company based in Amsterdam, is looking for an Applied Machine Learning Engineer to develop, deploy, and improve machine-learning models powering recommendations, predictions, and intelligent features across its software products. You'll work at the intersection of Machine Learning, Software Engineering, and Product Development, building practical ML solutions that deliver measurable value to users and operate reliably in production environments. Core Skills • 3+ years in Machine Learning Engineering, Applied Machine Learning, Data Science, or a similar role • Python • PyTorch or comparable deep-learning frameworks • scikit-learn • SQL • AWS • Docker / containerisation • MLflow or similar experiment-tracking tools • Supervised machine learning and model evaluation • Experience developing and deploying machine-learning models • Understanding of production ML workflows Nice to Have Recommendation systems Personalisation models Classification / regression / forecasting Feature engineering Pandas / NumPy XGBoost / LightGBM FastAPI PostgreSQL AWS SageMaker Airflow Kubernetes CI/CD for machine learning Model monitoring and drift detection A/B testing and experimentation Experience building ML features for SaaS or digital products
