We are looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer | AWS & Azure🛡️ To join a Rail Technology & Digital Mobility project, supporting the evolution of a multi-cloud engineering platform used for railway bookings, ticketing and integrations with operators. The platform operates across two complementary environments: AWS supports the core transactional services, while Azure hosts regional integration workloads responsible for processing schedules, fares and availability updates. The engineering challenge is to standardize infrastructure provisioning, automate deployments and improve operational reliability across both clouds, supporting high-availability services and distributed data processing workloads. Skills ✅ 5+ years in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, Platform Engineering or SRE; ✅ AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch) ✅ Azure (AKS, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Azure Monitor); ✅ Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, modules, networking, IAM/RBAC and multi-cloud; ✅ Docker, Kubernetes (EKS and AKS), Helm, workload orchestration, deployments and scaling; ✅ GitHub Actions Pipelines, alongside Argo CD for automated deployments and GitOps; ✅ Python for infrastructure automation, operational tooling, environment validation; ✅ AWS Glue and Azure Data Factory, supporting data ingestion infrastructure; ✅ CloudWatch and Azure Monitor for monitoring, distributed tracing, alerting; ✅ SQS and Service Bus for asynchronous processing and integration; Key Responsibilities 🎯 Engineer and operate AWS-based transactional infrastructure and Azure integration environments, managing networking, compute, storage and cloud configurations; 🎯 Maintain container orchestration environments supporting booking microservices and regional data integration services; 🎯 Develop modules to provision cloud resources, Kubernetes infrastructure, networking and access policies consistently; 🎯 Automate infrastructure changes and application deployments through GitHub Actions, Helm and GitOps practices, reducing manual intervention and deployment risks; 🎯 Support AWS Lambda and Azure Functions for event-driven processing, alongside SQS, Azure Service Bus for asynchronous communication between distributed services; 🎯 Maintain the cloud foundations supporting operational datasets, S3, Blob Storage; 🎯 Implement monitoring, alerting and distributed tracing through CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, to identify performance issues and improve service availability; 🎯 Build Python for operational tasks, environment validation, infrastructure maintenance and incident remediation; 🎯 Troubleshoot infrastructure and Kubernetes issues, improve recovery procedures and support reliable operation of services used for bookings, ticketing and real-time availability. #CloudPlatformEngineering #AWS #Azure #DevOps #SRE #Terraform #Kubernetes #PlatformEngineering #CloudInfrastructure
