Role Description This full-time, on-site Sales Application Engineer role is based in Dublin and focuses on supporting customers with customized factory automation solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging with prospective and existing clients to understand technical and production requirements, preparing proposals and technical quotations, and translating customer needs into feasible automation concepts. The role involves collaborating closely with mechanical, electrical, and process control engineering teams to develop application solutions, cost estimates, and project timelines. The Sales Application Engineer will provide technical support during pre-sales and post-sales activities, participate in customer meetings and presentations, and assist in refining system specifications and documentation. The position also includes contributing to business development efforts, monitoring market trends in pharma and medical device manufacturing, and ensuring that proposed solutions align with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Qualifications - Strong Sales Engineering and Sales skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and develop compelling technical proposals. - Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering principles relevant to factory automation and production systems. - Experience in Technical Support, including troubleshooting, resolving customer issues, and providing clear technical guidance. - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. - Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience in engineering (mechanical, electrical, automation, or related field). - Ability to work on-site in Dublin, collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects and deadlines. - Familiarity with automation systems for pharma or medical device manufacturing and knowledge of industry standards and regulations is an advantage. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
