In this role, you will develop and integrate automated security measures across complex platforms and modern software delivery environments. Your initial focus will be the SAP landscape, particularly the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), with opportunities to contribute to end-to-end security initiatives across a broad, heterogeneous technology environment.
You will combine hands-on software engineering with security architecture, collaborating with development teams, service owners, and security stakeholders. This position is suited to someone who can move complex initiatives forward while balancing technical depth, governance requirements, and organizational impact.
Qualifications
- A completed degree in business information systems, computer science, cybersecurity, or a comparable IT qualification.
- Several years of in-depth experience in IT security, particularly in DevSecOps, modern software development, and complex platform architectures.
- Practical experience with cloud, container, and CI/CD environments, including integrating security requirements into automated development and operational processes.
- Strong programming skills; experience with Go and/or Kotlin is preferred.
- Experience with SAP technologies, especially SAP BTP, is an advantage for the initial area of focus.
- Knowledge of security automation, Policy-as-Code, monitoring, and automated remediation is highly relevant.
- Analytical thinking, curiosity, a strong willingness to learn, and the ability to consider both architectural goals and technical details.
- A collaborative, proactive approach, with the confidence to coordinate complex initiatives and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Fluent, persuasive communication skills in German (at least C1) and English.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate automated security controls for the SAP environment, with an initial emphasis on SAP BTP.
- Shape end-to-end security across processes, architecture, and implementation in collaboration with development teams.
- Design and code Policy-as-Code controls, monitoring capabilities, and automated remediation across diverse technologies.
- Advance security modules within the global security platform and develop tailored decentralized solutions where needed.
- Support staged production rollouts of policy sets through testing, technical validation, and coordination with release, security, and governance processes.
- Work closely with ISMS domain owners and technical service owners to establish and adopt security controls across the group.
- Continuously assess existing practices, improve processes, and introduce practical technology-driven enhancements.
Benefits
- Take ownership of meaningful work and help identify and reduce security risks early.
- Collaborate and learn alongside more than 4,000 colleagues who share an interest in IT and digital innovation.
- Access a range of professional and personal development opportunities tailored to support your growth.
- Join an open, appreciative culture with flat hierarchies and a collaborative working style.
- Contribute to international projects and help advance cloud-native solutions.
