Description
Enterprise Architect – Global Insurer
A leading insurer is looking for an Enterprise Architect to join its central Architecture function. This is a senior, business-facing role. You’ll own the end-to-end architecture across the business and work closely with senior stakeholders to turn business strategy into a clear, deliverable technology roadmap. The work covers business transformation, data and responding to a changing insurance market.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the end-to-end architecture and roadmaps for the international division, in line with group Enterprise Architecture and business strategy.
- Hold the business to account on outcomes, capabilities and technology platforms, and turn them into a clear, sequenced view of how change will deliver the strategy.
- Set clear architectural guardrails, layers and domain boundaries, and make sure Solution Architecture and delivery teams stay within them.
- Provide governance and assurance across the change portfolio to keep designs aligned with strategy and to reduce technical debt.
- Produce impact assessments that cover data, integration, security and infrastructure, so investment decisions are well informed.
Key Skills Required
- Experience as a true enterprise-wide architect, ideally with a business architecture background and strong change delivery experience.
- Knowledge of the London Market or specialty insurance, deep enough to act as the subject matter expert (desirable)
- Strong business acumen, with a track record of challenging stakeholder requirements and proposing alternatives that create long-term value.
- Experience with solution governance and assurance, and with defining and delivering strategic change towards a target state.
- Able to break down large, complex problems and explain the way forward clearly to non-technical senior stakeholders.
- Experience working with self-organising agile teams (Scrum, Kanban, DSDM) in a modern, cloud-first environment.
This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days per week in the Central London offices.
